Extended Care Program

At St. Charles, we know that the school day does not always meet the needs of our families and many need a safe, nurturing and productive place for their child to go before or after school.  We pride ourselves on having an affordable, flexible and engaging extended care program with drop in available both before and after the school day.  Our program is open to all grade levels and we offer various options to meet the needs of the individual student.  At St. Charles our extended care program is a place students can get their homework done in a quiet and supportive environment, get one-on-one math tutoring, or just play and connect with friends and siblings inside or on the playground. 

Hours: 

Early Care:  7:30 am- 8:00 am (Monday -Friday)
After Care:  Dismissal until 5:00 pm (Monday -Friday)

Fees:

$7.50 an hour per student, with an annual $50.00 registration fee per student

Activities: 

Homework club: A quiet teacher led space with homework help open to all grade levels Tuesday through Thursday.  Students work independently on homework and have a teacher nearby to offer any help they need. 

Math Lab: A dedicated math teacher offers extra one on one help with math homework Tuesday through Thursday to grades 5th and older. Our math teachers give extra instruction with any lesson troubling a student and check their homework for the following school day.

Indoor and Outdoor play:  Students stay engaged and active either indoors with games, arts and crafts, or building blocks, or outside with sports and playground activities.
