Objectives of Fundraisers
Fundraisers are an essential part of building community spirit, while additionally supporting the school operating budget. More than 20% of the cost of educating each student is achieved through fundraising activities. To keep tuition affordable, St. Charles School is heavily dependent upon the success of these various efforts. A portion of each family's 40-hour service requirement should be allocated to fundraising activities at St. Charles School.
Fundraisers succeed because of the commitment and participation of every family at St. Charles School. In addition to building community friendships, fundraisers help:
- Supplement the annual operating budget to help maintain lower tuition
- Fund improvements to the school and classrooms
Under the leadership of the school administration, School Advisory Board, and the Fundraising Committee, St. Charles School has developed a strategic approach to school fundraising. Parents devote their efforts into fewer, more effective fundraising activities—increasing success and diminishing “fundraising fatigue.”
