Applications to St. Charles School are accepted from September-January for the subsequent school year. When applying to Kindergarten, students must be 5 years of age by September 1 in the year entering Kindergarten (September 2025). A Kindergarten readiness screening is required for students prior to acceptance, and all families applying to Kindergarten will complete an in-person interview with the pastor and principal.
Each March, students applying to Grades 1-7 have the opportunity to shadow for a school day and take an academic assessment. For transfer students and families who are relocating to the area who have a student seeking a placement in eighth grade, please contact the school principal.
All applicants to grades must submit a completed application form, a copy of the applicant's birth certificate, and a copy of the Baptismal certificate. A $40 assessment fee will be collected on the date of readiness testing.
Completed applications should be sent to the School Office. Please note that all applications are time-stamped for date and time of receipt by the School Office. Parents may drop off the application materials in person, scan/email the documents to the office at frontoffice@stcharlesschoolsc.org, or send via US Postal Service to St. Charles School, 850 Tamarack Avenue, San Carlos CA, 94070.
