    Each quarter will include time for goal setting, refleciton and practice at home. Please note important due dates and assignment notes below. 

    QUARTER 3

    • Fitness Test and Reflections - Due After Each Fitness Test
    • Personal Fitness Card #2 - Due Thursday, January 19
    • New Years Goal - Due Tuesday, January 17
    • Smart Goal - Due Thursday, January 12

    NOTES

    • Fitness Test and Reflection - Get better each time. Reflect on these questions after each round of fitness tests:
      • Positives - Things I Did Well
      • Improvements - Things  I Can Do Better
      • Encouragement - Phrases to Help Me Do Better
      • Next Steps - Things I Can Do to Reach My Goal
    • New Years Goal - Represent your New Years Goal.
      1. Write your name, date and grade.
      2. Write the final draft of your smart goal. Make it neat!
      3. Color the tennis shoe. Make it represent you. Make it beautiful.
        • Use crayons, colored pencils or markers.
    • Smart Goal - Write a long-term goal and short-term goal. Make sure it is a SMART goal:
        • Specific – Choose what activity you will do regularly.
        • Measurable – Choose how often you will do this activity.
          • How long? (Minutes) How far? (Distance) How much? (Time)
        • Attainable – Decide if you believe it is possible to reach your goal.
          • Is it too easy? Is it too hard? Or just right?
        • Realistic and Relevant – Create a Plan of Action.
          • Realistic – Do you have the time, space and resources for this goal?
          • Relevant – Is your goal important and interesting to you?
        • Time-Bound – Choose a deadline for your goal.
          • When will you achieve your goal by? Our deadline is May.

    • Yoga Routine Practice - Due Thursday, December 15
    • Fitness Test and Reflection #3 - Due After December Fitness Test
    • Fitness Test and Reflection #1 - Due After October Fitness Test

    • Yoga Routine Home Practice - Create a yoga routine that you can practice at home for relaxation, strength or flexiblity.
    • Fitness Test and Reflection - Get better each time. Reflect on these questions after each round of fitness tests:

    • Personal Fitness Card - Own It! Make your card your own by following these steps:
      1. Write Last Name, First Name, Grade and Age.
      2. Decorate the side of the card on front and back.
      3. Write One Word in the box provided.
      4. Write an Inspirational Quote in the box provided.
      5. Return the Fitness Card to Physical Education class.
        •  Please do not fill in any other boxes on the Fitness Card.
          • We will fill this is as we complete Fitness Tests.
        • Please use pencil only to write fitness scores.
