• The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments.

    CCC, no.1113

The United States Catechism for Adults says this about Sacraments: “When parents hug their children, for example, the visible reality we see is the hug. The invisible reality the hug conveys is love. We cannot ‘see’ the love the hug expresses, though sometimes we can see its nurturing effect in the child."

The Sacraments are seven and grouped together as

    • The Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist
    • The Sacraments of Healing: Penance/Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick
    • The Sacraments of Service: Holy Orders and Matrimony
