Art In Action is our unique program that allows parent docents to provide art instruction and direct students on how to complete art projects influenced by the genre, style, and media of specific artists.
For AIA Label Makers:
Each class has a label maker whose job it is to setup and print all the labels needed for their grade level. Before the first AIA lesson, all labels for the entire year should be printed, and stored in the AIA art box for each corresponding grade. Lead docents will check to make sure this happens before the first scheduled lesson.
Please use the label templates provided here. There is one file per grade. They are setup for Avery #5160 Labels (30-up White, 1"x2&5/8"). We suggest entering all the student names first and then doing a search and replace for the Artist Name to create the labels for each lesson.
Please print two sets of labels per student per lesson. One label is put on the back of the artwork at the beginning of the lesson. The other label is used later for mounting the artwork. Docents are asked to mount and label each lesson as soon as it is completed so the art is ready to hang in the classroom, main board, school events and art shows.
Thank you for making AIA labels!
